3.1 Differentiating features of the device variants

The Filter-Master XL is manufactured in two versions.
• Filter-Master XL IFA
• Filter-Master XL
The standard version of the Filter-Master XL is IFA-tested.
This means that the Filter-Master XL corresponds to the requirements of the IFA
(Institut für Arbeitsschutz der Deutschen Gesetzlichen Unfallversicherung:(Institute
for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance)
And fulfils these test standards.
For simplification, this is indicated below in these operating instructions with an
IFA reference logo.
The IFA reference logo indicates important notes and information, which are related
to the Filter-Master XL IFA.

The Filter-Master XL IFA is marked on the device with the DGUV test label and with
a W3 label (identification of welding smoke class) in the form of a sticker.
The position of this label is shown in 3.5 (Labels and signs on the Filter-Master XL).
The exact version of the device can be identified using this label as well as the "IFA"
label on the rating plate
