8.3 Final decommissioning
Dismantling work must be carried out with the utmost care so as not to allow any of
the dusts adhering to the Filter-Master XL to stir up and so that persons not assigned
with the task are not harmed. The working area should be separated/identified. Any
dust stirred up needs to be immediately removed with a vacuum cleaner of dust class H!
Before the beginning of dismantling, the filter element must be removed. Personal
protective equipment such as protective clothing, gloves, fan-respiratory protection
systems etc. must be used in order that contact with hazardous dusts is avoided.
The work area must be cleaned after disassembly of the Filter-Master XL.
In the run-up to disassembly with subsequent disposal the proper disposal of welding
smoke contaminated housing parts etc. should be coordinated and clarified with
regional waste management provider.
9 Safety Check
To ensure the safe and proper operation of the filter unit, safety checks should be
performed at regular intervals.
For maintenance work, written records (a test manual) must be kept and made
available to the authority on request.
WARNING
The filter unit is equipped with a compressed air tank for the
conduct of filter cartridge cleaning. This compressed air tank
must have a visual inspection at least every 2 years, an internal
inspection every 5 years and a pressure test every ten years
carried out by KEMPER - Service.
