7.6 Fault elimination

Malfunction
Not all smoke is
sucked in.
Signal horn sounds
Dust comes out on
the clean air side.
Device does not
start up.

Possible Cause
Distance of the exhaust
hood from welding position
too great.
Clean air outlet covered.
The rotation direction of the
ventilator is incorrect
Suction power too low,
throttle valve in the suction
hood is closed.
Filter element is saturated.
The exhaust arm is blocked
Filter element is damaged.
No mains voltage.

Technical changes and errors excepted.
Remedy
Place exhaust hood closer.
Keep clean air outlet free of
obstruction.
In the CEE plug, two phases
must be replaced by an
authorised electrician.
Open damper in exhaust hood
to full extent.
Change the filter element.
Check the exhaust arm on
soaked-in items such as
cleaning rags.
Change the filter element.
Have it checked by an
electrician.
