Installation
PREPARING THE RANGE HOOD FOR INSTALLATION
- Turn over the range hood (A) and place its top on
a protective surface, such as cardboard or a large
towel . If the transition was installed on top of the
hood, ensure it is well protected from damage for
the next steps .
- Remove the filters (1) by removing the handles (2).
- Remove the bottom panel (3) by removing the
six screws (4) . Ensure a good grip on the bottom
panel when removing screws so they do not fall
into the unit .
- Remove package (contains damper, round duct
and screws) from below the bottom panel (3) .
REMOVING THE ELECTRICAL KNOCK-OUT HOLE
WARNING: Always wear safety goggles and gloves
during installation .
- Choose the appropriate electrical knock-out hole to remove
for your installation type . Use the top hole (1) if your electrical
supply is in the cabinet and the back hole (2) if your electrical
supply is on the wall below the cabinet .
- Use a hammer and a flathead screwdriver to gently punch out

HOW TO PROPERLY OPEN THE VENTS
- To remove the vent opening, insert a flat head screwdriver (1) into the corner slot (2) and pry it upwards and away from the edge (See
Fig. 9a). Once the corner slot is folded up, insert the screwdriver into the slot from the opposite direction and continue to bend it until the
nearest tabs (3) retaining the cover are broken (see Fig. 9b). Continue to pry the cover upwards and away using pliers (4) to break the
remaining tabs holding the cover in place (see Fig. 9c).
