Always use your compressor on a flat surface.
The start switch is situated on the cover of the pressure switch.
Turn the switch to position "0" on (Fig.2).
Insert the plug into the socket and start the compressor turning the switch to position
"1".
The compressor working process is automatic.
The pressure switch stops the compressor when the pressure in the tank
reaches the maximum value allowed and starts it again when the pressure
drops to the minimum value (see values on pag.53)
Adjust the outlet air pressure operating on the reducer-filter (Fig.3)
Pressure is shown on the gauge placed on one side of the regulator.
The compressor power lines or eventual extensions must have the wire section propor-
tioned to the lenght.
Be aware that compressor motor head and its outlet hose can get high tem-
perature. Do not touch these parts to avoid the risk of thermal shock.
Each compressor unit is equipped with a thermal protector stopping the
compressor in case of overheating.
In case of protector tripping, the protector will reset automatically after
15/20 minutes, so the compressor will restart automatically.
This compressor unit is not able to restart when its outlet pipe is under
pressure so is equipped with a pressure relief system having the purpose
to release the pressure inside the compressor outlet pipe when it stops
running.
This pressure relief is performed by a valve mechanically operated by the pressure
switch when the charging cycle is completed. Whenever the charging cycle is abor-
ted (usually when the power supply is cut off), the pressure relief valve is not opera-
ted and the compressor unit outlet pipe remains under pressure.
Under this condition, the compressor will not be able to restart when the power
supply will be restored.
The failure can be solved by:
-turnig the pressure switch knob on "0" position and
-dropping the pressure inside teh receiver to 0 bar then
-turning the pressure switch knob on "I" position
Then the compressor will start running again.
Some models are equipped with a electrovalve (assembled on the non return valve) to
replace the function of the relief valve operated by the pressure switch.
