Buttermilk Bread
1.5 lb. loaf Grain
1 and 1/4 cups water
1 and 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon white vinegar
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 cups bread flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup rye flour
2 tablespoons powdered buttermilk
1 tablespoon vital gluten
1 and 1/2 teaspoons caraway seeds
1 and 3/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 Measure and add liquid ingredients to the bread pan.
2 Measure and add dry ingredients (except yeast) to the bread pan.
3 Use your finger to form a well (hole) in the flour where you will pour the yeast. Yeast must NEVER
come into contact with a liquid when you are adding ingredients. Measure the yeast and carefully
pour it into the well.
4 Snap the baking pan into the breadmaker and close the lid.
5 Press the "Menu" button to choose the Whole Grain setting.
6 Press the "Loaf" button to choose 1.5 lb., or 2 lb.
7 Press the "Color" button to choose light, medium or dark.
8 Press the "Start/Stop" button.

counts down to zero.
To begin: The ingredients are kneaded (12 minutes)
At 0:47, the dough begins to rise (14 minutes)
At 0:33, the dough begin to bake (33 minutes)
At 0:00, the bread is finished.
Important: You CANNOT use the delay timer for ExpressBake® Breadmaker setting breads.
You CANNOT change the Color.

Whole Grain (2)
White Bread ExpressBake®
1.5 pound loaf
1 cup and 2 tablespoons hot water (115°–125°F)
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
4 teaspoons fast rising yeast
Important: Carefully measure the hot water and make sure it is between 115°–125°F by using a cooking
thermometer.
