3 Insert the Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 x64 Edition Disk 1 CD into the CD drive.
The CD starts automatically and the Welcome to Setup window appears.
If the CD does not start automatically:
Open Windows Explorer.

Locate the CD drive.

Right-click the CD drive and click AutoPlay.

4 Select one of the following and click Next:
•
Install Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition
•
Install Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition
5 In the License Agreement window, read and accept the license agreement, and click Next.
6 In the Product Key window, type the 25-character Product Key and click Next.
7 When prompted, select Get Updated Setup Files and click Next.
Windows Setup formats your partition with the selected file system and copies the operating system
files to your system.
NOTE:
This procedure may take several minutes to complete.
Next, your system automatically restarts.
8 When prompted, log in to your system as Administrator.
After login, the following message appears:
MMC cannot open the file C:\windows\system32\nas.msc. This may also
be because you do not have sufficient access rights to the file.
This error occurs because the operating system upgrade procedure is not completed. This error will be
fixed after you complete the upgrade procedures.
9 Click OK to continue.
10 Remove the Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 x64 Edition Disk 1 CD from the CD drive.
11 Insert the Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 x64 Edition Disk 2 CD into the CD drive.
The CD starts automatically and the Welcome to Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 window appears.
If the CD does not start automatically:
Open Windows Explorer.

Locate the CD drive.
b
Right-click the CD drive and click AutoPlay.
