Install receiver housing to hitch –
1. Remove Receiver assembly from case.
2. Remove the Receiver from the Receiver Housing. To separate
both pieces, use the key to unlock blue knob. Push in the blue
knob and then rotate clockwise until you hear a click sound.
At this time, you can separate the Receiver from the Receiver
Housing. See figures A, B & C.
3. Install the Weather Covers to the top and bottom of the
Receiver Housing. See figure D.
4. Attach the Receiver Housing to the hitch. Insert the Receiver
Housing in between the hitch brackets. Align with holes and
insert (2) fastener assemblies (M12 bolt, flat washer, and
prevailing torque nut). See figure E.
5. Torque fasteners. Torque each of the fasteners in step 4 to 92
lb-ft (125 n*m).
Included Card and Labels –
Keep the Card in the vehicle glove compartment
Apply (1) label to the top of the receiver and (1) label to the
vehicle door jamb. See figure F.
Note: For receiver installation & use, see instruction 76900N. This
can be found with the receiver kit or visit
search pat # 76900.
