WARNING
Always make sure that the pressure relief valve is in the open (0) position, before you
connect hydraulic hose(s) to the pump.
• Remove the dust caps from the female and male couplers.
• Check the couplers for dirt and damage and clean them if necessary.
• Screw the male coupler into the female coupler and tighten the locking ring as far as possible.
• Screw the dust caps together, to prevent from contamination.
5.3 Disconnect the hydraulic hoses
5.3.1 General
CAUTION
Never use pliers or similar tools to disconnect the hydraulic couplers.
5.3.2 Disconnect the High-Flow coupler
Refer to Fig. 6.
WARNING
Always make sure that the pressure relief valve is in the open (0) position, before you
disconnect hydraulic hose(s) from the pump.
• Disconnect the dust caps from each other.
• Unscrew the locking ring. The male coupler will be released.
• Clean the couplers and the dust caps.
• Replace the dust caps on the female and male couplers.
5.4 Set the nut size
• Measure the flat size (A/F) of the nut.
• Find this size in the setting list on the nut cracker.
NOTICE
This list is intended as a guideline only.
• Set the cutting depth by rotating the cylinder. The tool is set when the mark is level with the required
value. The cutter can not touch the thread if properly set.
• Make sure that the graduation is at the bottom and the word "TOP" at the top during use.
• Make sure that the cutter is in contact only with the nut over its entire height, but with no other parts
such as a washer (Fig. 7).
• Make sure that the cutter is in contact in the middle of the nut (Fig. 8).
