Welding methods
In 2 Step, pressing the button causes the gas to flow and
strikes the arc; when the button is released the current
returns to zero in the slope descent time; once the arc
is extinguished, the gas flows for the post-gas time.
In 4 Step the first pressure on the button causes the gas
to flow, performing a manual pre-gas; when it is
released the arc is struck.
The following pressure and the final release of the but-
ton cause the current slope descent and the post-gas
time to start.
In BILEVEL the welder can weld with 2 different cur-
rents previously set.
The first pressure on the button leads to the pre-gas
time, the striking of the arc and welding with the initial
current.
The first release leads to the current slope-up "I1". If the
welder presses and releases the button quickly, there
is a change to "I2"; pressing and releasing the button
quickly returns to "I1" and so on.
Pressing it for a longer time starts the current slope-
down which leads to the final current.
Releasing the button extinguishes the arc while the gas
continues to flow for the post-gas time.

7
Main adjustment handle
Allows adjustment of the selected parameter on graph
9. The value is shown on display 8.
Allows entry to set up, the selection and the setting of
the welding parameters.
8
7-segment display
Allows the general welding machine parameters to be
displayed during start-up, settings, current and voltage
readings, while welding, and encoding of the alarms.
9
Welding parameters
The graph on the panel allows the selection and adjust-
ment of the welding parameters.
Welding current
Permits adjustment of the welding current.
Parameter set in Amps (A).
Minimum 3A, Maximum Imax, Default 100A
Basic current
Permits adjustment of the basic current in pulsed and
fast pulse modes.
Parameter setting: Amperes (A) - Percentage (%).
Minimum 3A-1%, Maximum Imax-500%, Default 50%
Pulsed frequency
Allows activation of the pulse mode.
Allows regulation of the pulse frequency.
Allows better results to be obtained in the welding of
thin materials and better aesthetic quality of the bead.
26
Parameter setting: Hertz (Hz) - KiloHertz (kHz).
Minimum 0.5Hz, Maximum 2.5KHz, Default 4Hz-100Hz
Slope-down
Allows you to set a gradual passage between the weld-
ing current and the final current.
Parameter set in seconds (s).
Minimum off, Maximum 10.0s, Default off
Post-gas
Permits setting and adjustment of the gas flow at the
end of welding.
Parameter set in seconds (s).
Minimum 0.0s, Maximum 25.0s, Default syn
3.2.1 Set up
Permits set up and adjustment of a series of additional param-
eters for improved and more accurate control of the welding
system.
The parameters present at set up are organised in relation to the
welding process selected and have a numerical code.
Entry to set up: by pressing the encoder key for 5 sec. (the
central zero on the 7-segment display confirms entry).
Selection and adjustment of the required parameter: by
turning the encoder until displaying the numerical code relating
to that parameter. If the encoder key is pressed at this point,
the value set for the parameter selected can be displayed and
adjusted.
Exit from set up: to quit the "adjustment" section, press the
encoder again.
To exit the set up, go to parameter "O" (save and quit) and press
the encoder.

0
Save and quit
Allows you to save the changes and exit the set up.
1
Reset
Allows you to reset all the parameters to the default
values.
2
MMA Synergy
Allows you to set the best arc dynamics, selecting the
type of electrode used:
1 Standard (Basic/Rutile)
2 Cellulose
3 Steel
4 Aluminium
5 Cast iron
Default 1
Selecting the correct arc dynamics enables maximum
benefit to be derived from the power source to achieve
the best possible welding performances.
Perfect weldability of the electrode used is not guaran-
teed (weldability depends on the quality of the consuma-
bles and their preservation, the operating and welding
conditions, the numerous possible applications, etc.).
3
Hot start
Allows adjustment of the hot start value in MMA.
Permits an adjustable hot start in the arc striking phases,
facilitating the start operations.
Parameter set as a percentage (%) of the welding current.
Minimum 0% Maximum 500%, Default std 80%,
Default cls 150%
4
Arc force
Allows adjustment of the Arc force value in MMA.
Permits an adjustable energetic dynamic response in
welding, facilitating the welder's operations.
Parameter set as a percentage (%) of the welding current.
Minimum 0%, Maximum 500%, Default std 30%,
Default cls 350%
