Useful information
Cleaning and maintenance
For reasons of hygiene, the appliance should be cleaned
regularly (both the exterior and the interior), at least every
two months.
CAUTION:
The appliance must not be connected to the mains during
cleaning, as there is a risk of electrocution. Before
cleaning, switch off the appliance and remove the plug
from the socket.
Exterior cleaning
Wipe down the control panel with a soft, clean cloth.
• Spray water on the cleaning cloth rather than directly on the
surface of the appliance. This ensures an even distribution of
moisture on the surface.
• Clean the doors, handles and cabinet surfaces with a mild
detergent and then wipe dry with a soft cloth.

Useful information
CAUTION:
Do not use sharp objects as they can scratch the surface.
Do not use thinner, car polish, bleach, ethereal oil,
abrasive agents or organic solvents such as benzene to
clean your appliance.
These may damage the surface of the unit and cause a
fire.
Interior cleaning
The interior of the appliance should also be cleaned
regularly. This will be easier to clean when the amount of
food inside is small. Wipe down the inside of the freezer with
a dilute solution of baking soda, then rinse with warm water
and a sponge or cloth. Wipe completely dry before replacing
shelves and drawers. Wipe all surfaces and removable parts
thoroughly before reinstalling the tray.
Although the appliance removes frost automatically, a
layer of frost may appear on the inside walls of the freezer
compartment if the door is opened frequently or for too long.
If there is too much frost, plan on a time when the freezer is
almost empty and proceed as follows:
1. Remove existing food baskets and accessories, disconnect
the appliance from the mains power supply and leave the
doors open. Ventilate the chamber properly to speed up the
defrosting process.
