1.2 Charging the Battery
CAUTION
To prevent an explosion or fire,
use only the Druck specified battery
IO620G-IS-BATTERY, power supply
IO620-PSU and battery charger
IO620G-IS-CHARGER.
To prevent battery leakage or heat generation,
charge only in temperature range 0°C to 45°C
(32 to 104°F).
Refer to Figure A1 and the procedure below:
1. Connect the DC power supply unit in to the +5V DC
connection [1] on the side of the battery charger cradle.
2. Insert the battery [2] into the charger cradle at a slight
angle, push and click into place. Tighten the thumb
screws [3] to prevent accidental disconnection.
3. Switch on the mains power supply.
4. Battery charge time is approximately 8 hours. Battery
charge/charger states are indicated by LEDs [4]
described in the table below:
LEDs
Description
Both off - no power.
Green on - no battery connected.
Green on, red flashing - battery health check.
Green flashing, red on - battery charging.
Green on, red on - charging complete.
Green and red flashing - battery fault.
1.3 Installing the Battery
Refer to Figure A2 and the procedure below:
1. Slide the battery [1] onto the underside of the
instrument [2].
2. Tighten thumb screws [3].
2. Power Modes
2.1 Power On
1. From OFF – momentarily press the power button until
the logo appears. Refer to Figure A3, Item 1.
2.2 Power Off
1. Press and Release the Power Button:
2. Select SWITCH OFF from the POWERDOWN
OPTIONS window displayed.
Note: SWITCH OFF can also be achieved by pressing and
holding the power button until the screen is blank.
Use SWITCH OFF to preserve the battery capacity when
the instrument is not in use for extended periods of time.

2.3 Standby Mode
Use GO TO STANDBY between jobs to provide a quick
start-up.
1. Press and Release Power button:
2. Select GO TO STANDBY from the POWERDOWN
OPTIONS window displayed.
2.4 Power up from Standby Mode
When powered up from the standby mode, instrument
always opens the last screen shown before going to
standby mode.
3. DASHBOARD
The Druck DPI620G-IS can be used as follows:
Calibrator (with independent functions on each of five
channels).
HART® Communicator.
Foundation Field-bus Communicator.
Profibus Communicator.
Note: Available functionality depends on model purchased.
For a detailed description of the available functions, refer to
the User Manual.

3.1 DASHBOARD Navigation
The dashboard is navigated by swiping a finger from top to
bottom while touching the screen.
Functions screens are navigated by swiping a finger from
right to left while touching the screen.
3.2 Set Date, Time and Language
To access Date, Time and Language menus:

3.3 Themes
Two themes are available: Dark and Light; select the
correct theme for the light level using:

3.4 Help
Select the HELP icon on the Dashboard to access the
manual. All the information required to operate the Druck
DPI620G-IS is in the HELP section of the Dashboard which
is accessed by selecting:

3.5 Example Dashboard Functions
Refer to Figure B1. The CALIBRATOR and TASK MENU
may be used to compare the output of a test device/system
with the input. Advanced calibrator features:
Data logging capabilities. Store test results.
