6. KEEP THE WORKING AREA CLEAN AND ORGANIZED:
The mess in working area may promote risks of injuries. Remove all unnecessary
elements from the working area, such as waste, workbenches, etc.
7. PRESERVE THE CONDITIONS AT THE WORKPLACE:
Do not place the compressor in the rain or in wet places or near of humidity. The
working area must be well lit and ventilated. The compressor must always be used
in a stable position. To avoid the risk of explosion or fire, do not place the
compressor in spraying zones. Do not use the compressor near of flammable
liquids or gases. The reduction of the ventilation openings will do a serious
overheating, which can cause a fire. Never support objects on the compressor.
Gasoline engines produce carbon monoxide, poisonous and odourless gas that
can cause death. NEVER use the compressor in a restricted space, use only on
the outside and at least 1.2 meters away from any wall or object that can limit the
free circulation of air for cooling. Occasionally, the compressor may cause sparks
during its running, therefore, never use in places where there are lacquers,
varnishes, fuel, solvents, gasoline, gases or any other type of combustible or
explosive material. If the compressor is used in a forest environment, the user
must install a spark arrester on the exhaust pipe. Do not tilt the compressor more
than 10º while it is running.
8. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN:
Keep children and unauthorized people away from the compressor and the
working area.
9. USE SUITABLE CLOTHING:
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that could get caught in the moving parts of
the compressor. Wear a protective helmet or mesh to keep long hair protected.
10. ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION:
Pay attention while you are handling the compressor. Work with conscience and
common sense. Do not stand on the compressor. Do not use the compressor
when you are tired. Never use the compressor if you are under the effect of
alcohol, drugs or pills that cause drowsiness.
11. CHECK IF THERE IS DAMAGED PARTS OR AIR LEAKS:
Before each use of the compressor, carefully check the guards or other parts that
appear to be damaged, this to ensure a correct running and capacity to perform
the work planned.
Control the running of moving parts, if they are not blocked and have no broken
elements, if all parts are correctly assembled, if there are no air leaks and in
general if all compressor elements are in good condition to do the work planned. If
any belt guard is damaged, must be completely repaired or replaced by a technical
service. The switches and the pilot valve will be replaced only by authorized
services. Do not use the compressor if the engine switch off fails.
12. NEVER USE THE COMPRESSOR FOR DIFFERENT USES:
Never use the compressor for different applications than those specified in this
manual. Never use compressed air for breathing or artificial respiration.
