PROBLEM
Machine will not

CAUSE
◾
The battery pack is not
attached to the machine.
◾
No electrical contact
between the machine and
the battery pack.
◾
The battery pack charge is
depleted.
◾
The lock-off lever and
trigger switch are not
depressed simultaneously.
◾
The battery is too hot. See
the chapter "Battery High-
Temperature Protection".
◾
The brush cutter is too hot.
See the chapter "Machine
High-Temperature
Protection".
◾
The motor is overloaded.
See the chapter "Machine
Overload Protection".
◾
The grease in the gear
case is nearly run out.
SOLUTION
◾
Attach the battery pack to the
machine.
◾
Remove battery, check contacts
and reinstall the battery pack until it
snaps into place.
◾
Charge the battery pack.
◾
Move the lock-off lever up and press
the trigger switch at the same time.
◾
Remove the battery pack and
cool the battery pack until the
temperature drops below 152°F
(67°C).
◾
Remove the battery pack and
cool the brush cutter until the
temperature drops below 176 °F
(80 °C).
◾
The motor will recover when the
load is removed. For continuous
work, decrease the load on the brush
cutter, and avoid cutting heavy/
woody shrubs, or oversize cutting
line (when the machine is used as a
string trimmer).
◾
Lubricate the drive gears in the gear
case, refer to "LUBRICATING THE
DRIVE GEAR" section in this manual.
