Working with the Rip Fence
Set the Guide Height
The rip fence has two guide surfaces with different heights.
For thick material you must use the rip fence as shown in below illustration 1 & 3, for thin material you
must use the rip fence as shown in below illustration 2 & 4.
To change over the stop rail to the lower guide face you have to slacken the two locknuts in order to
disconnect the stop rail from the rip fence.
Remove the two snap-head neck bolts through the one slot in the stop rail and insert in the other slot.
Remount the stop rail with rip fence.
The procedure for changing over to the high guide face is similar.
