To adapt the unit for use at a different
power-line frequency

Removing the turntable platter
The platter is secured by a C-ring seated
in a notch on the turntable shaft. Use a
screwdriver to remove the C-ring, then lift
off the platter,

touching the inner surfaces with your fingers
as skin oils can cause slippage (and resulting
