Sharpen and replace blades
A good performance of the shredder usually
depends on how sharp blades are. Blades are
reversible and have two cutting edges to be
used before sharpening or replacement. To
disassemble blades:
Repeat procedures in item "Check Blades".
Turn disk until blade screws are accessible.
Loosen securing screws (A) and remove
blade (B) and (C).
Turn blades 180
to use the good cutting
O
edge.
Replace screws and washers. Tighten with
a torque wrench according to table "Torque
Specifications".
Repeat the operation for remaining blades.

If both edges of the blade are worn, sharpen
them. If they are entirely worn or damaged,
replace them. Get in touch with the TRAPP
nearest Technical Assistance.
Blades must be sharpened with proper
machines to assure adequate sharpening.
Respect the angle indicated in the figure

Do not replace just part of the set of blades.
Always replace the whole set for rotor
balance and to prevent vibration.
Every time blades are removed (disassembled/
reassembled), check adjustment and distance
between blade and counter-blade before turning
on the machine. To adjust the position of the
counter-blade:
