The alarm system works in the same way as that the ventilation system with the peculiarity that,
when it is activated, it also does the buzzer that incorporates panel control itself, in addition to
the LED that indicates the alarm status (see Figure 9).
The level of toxic gas for the activation of the alarm will be always higher than that of ventilation
1 (and ventilation 2 in the model DVB). When the panel control activates the alarm status, so
does the ventilation if it was deactivated.
When the panel control leaves the alarm mode, the ventilation will remain activated. The
ventilation 2 (only in the model DVB) will turn off when the concentration of toxic gas is lower
than ventilation 2 for a time greater than the delay to stop it. The same thing happens with
ventilation 1, which will be deactivated when the measured concentration be lower that its
respective level for a time greater than the delay to stop it.
3 Equipment storage and sensor lifetime
Al the COsensor equips must be stored in environmental conditions comprised between 0 y
50ºC 5-95% RH always avoiding condensation and without being exposed to the direct sunlight
or water.
The sensors lifetime is limited to guarantee the correct operation before their exhaustion or
aging. The date of manufacture is indicated on the sensor.
It is accepted a maximum time of use of the sensor of 3 months in addition to its lifetime to
contemplate the time of storage and installation before its commissioning. After these periods of
time, the sensor must be replaced.
4 Control panel installation
4.1
Installation of the chest and cable routing
The panel control is based in a rectangular metallic chest, a cover holder on the front, which tilts
on the left side of the chest as a door and is kept closed with a screw located on the right side
(A1 in Figure 3), and a separate plastic door that sits on top of the central, and is fixed to it with
2 screws located in the lower vertices (A2).
WARNING:
If you have to manipulate the cover holder, care must be taken with the ground cable
that connects one of the pins of the cover holder to another located inside the chest.
(SEE CHAPTER 8 CONNECTION WARNING).
The control panel will be fixed above vertical wall. The lateral slots of the control panel must
remain free for a correct heat evacuation. Figure 3 shows the 28mm knockouts for cable entry
(B) located on the upper side and on the lower side (in case it is necessary to use additional
entries), and the holes located in the bottom for the box for fixing the control panel to the vertical
wall of: 10/7mm in the upper ones (C1) and 7mm in the lower ones (C2).
