The recharging time and the playback/recording time may vary accord-
ing to the conditions of use.
For prolonged playback
Use the alkaline batteries together with rechargeable battery for
approximately 8 hours of playback.

When the right side display is shown, charge the rechargeable battery
until the CHARGE indicator on the battery charger goes out.

When recharging the battery
When the battery is taken out from the main unit, the back-up function is
activated in order to keep the clock and radio presets in memory. The
duration of this back-up is about 60 minutes from the time the battery is
removed when the display [=__»
lights up. After recharging the
battery, return it into the main unit as soon possible.
In order to safeguard important information
It is recommended to use dry cell batteries, or a spare AIWA PB-SS
battery (option) alternately with the rechargeable battery.
