• An oil other than the recommended oil can
cause damage to the rail, chain and lubrica-
tion system.
• Make sure that no dirt gets into the oil tank.
• Avoid oil spillages. Always wipe up spilled
oil.

• Unscrew the oil tank cap (8).
• Carefully add the chain lubricating oil until it
reaches the top mark on the oil level indica-
tor. Oil tank (9) capacity: max. 150 ml
• Screw the oil tank cap (8) on tightly by hand.

• Press the charged battery into the tool until it
latches fully.

To remove, press the unlock button (1) and re-
move the battery (2).
CAUTION! When not in use, protect the
battery contacts. Loose metal parts could
short- circuit the battery, which results in a risk
of explosion and fire!
Commissioning
Chain brake
WARNING!
Always check that the chain brake(4) is work-
ing properly before use. If not, do not use the
chainsaw and have it repaired by a qualified
specialist or a specialist workshop.
The chain saw is equipped with protective equip-
ment activated by a chain brake(4), which
brings the chain to a standstill within a fraction
of a second in the event of kickback. With kick-
back, the chain brake will be trigged automati-
cally through the contact of the hand guard with
the left hand. Therefore, always hold the
chainsaw tight in both hands.
Manual activation of the chain brake
(Fig.11)
• Tilt the hand guard in the direction of the
guide bar tip.
