5. Install the Batteries
Mounting Screw

NOTICE: When selecting a location for the battery box, verify that the cord will reach
the power cord on the valve box.
IMPORTANT! Do not use rechargeable or lithium ion batteries.
IMPORTANT! Do not mix old and new batteries.
Install the mounting screw using an appropriate anchor for the cabinet or wall
material. Leave enough length to hang the battery box.
Press the tab to remove the battery box cover.
Insert six AA batteries in the correct orientation in the battery box.
Verify that the gasket is present.
Reinstall the cover.
Hang the battery box on the mounting screw. Adjust the screw as needed to
secure the battery box.
Connect the battery box cord to the power cord on the valve box.
For Battery Replacement: Confirm that the override on the valve box is in the
touchless position. Refer to the "Manual Sensor Override" section.
