Troubleshooting
Pump indications
Pump does not cycle
Pump will not prime
Pump cycles rapidly
Pump cycles continuously,or slowly
(once or twice/hour)
External leaks
Product leakage at outlet hose
Product leakage at control valve
Product leakage past o-ring (6) and
visual at top of tube (17)
Product leakage past o-ring (6) and
visual at bottom of tube (17)
Possible problems
Air motor not operating properly
Pump tube jammed and/or contains loose components
Insufficient air pressure
Excessive cycling speed
Pump leaking internally
Product source empty
Pump leaking internally
Pump leaking externally
Distribution system leaking
Hose connection not tightened sufficiently
Control valve connection to hose not tightened sufficiently
Initial tightening of tube (17) to tube adapter (5) not
sufficient
Foreign material between o-ring (6), tube (17), and tube
adapter (5)
Damaged o-ring (6), tube (17), or tube adapter (5)
Initial tightening of tube (17) to valve seat (21) not
sufficient
Foreign material between o-ring (6), tube (17), or valve
seat (21)
Damaged o-ring (6), tube (17), or valve seat (21)
Solution
Inspect air motor and rebuild or replace as
necessary
Rebuild pump tube
Increase air pressure
Reduce air pressure
See Internal leaks.
Replenish product
See Internal leaks.
See External leaks.
Correct leak
Tighten connection
Tighten connection
Tighten tube adapter (5) into tube (17)
Disconnect tube (17) from tube adapter (5) Clean
and inspect all parts Locate and eliminate source
of foreign material
Replace any damaged component
Tighten valve seat (21) into tube (17)
Disconnect valve seat (21) from tube (17) Clean
and inspect all parts Locate and eliminate source
of foreign material
Replace any damaged component
