1 Press the PTY button.
The program type of the currently tuned station is displayed.
EON service for the PTY search
When a station is not found
"NOT FOUND?" is displayed and the unit returns to the previous
station.
When the TRAFFIC program type is selected
_EON SEARCH
During FM reception, the unit switches to radio programs with
the specified PTY automatically as soon as they begin.
Press the PTY button.
The program type of the currently tuned station is displayed.
2 Within 4 seconds, press the "\ or \/ button to
select a program type.
3 Within 4 seconds, press the ENTER button.
"EON ON' is displayed for 3 seconds. Then, the EON indicator
starts flashing and the unit enters EON search standby mode.
When radio program with the specified PTY in another radio
station begins, it interrupts the currently playing radio program
and the radio program with the specified PTY is heard. At this
time, the EON indicator flashes rapidly.
At the end of the radio program with the specified PTY, the
previous FM radio station is restored.
¢ EON search standby mode is stored until it is cancelled even
if the power is turned off.
To cancel EON search standby mode
Keep the PTY button pressed. (Do not release the PTY button
yet.) "EON PTY' and the specified PTY are displayed alternately.
At this time, press the ENTER button with pressing the PTY
button. "EON OFF" is displayed and EON search standby mode
is cancelled.
The EON search function does not work when:
- FM stations are not preset.
- The signals of stations with the specified PTY are weak. en
