Vacuum tube collector
The vacuum tube collector consists of 16 individual, linked glass tubes and is designed
to produce hot water from sunlight. It can be used to heat domestic hot water and to
back up a central heating system. Individual collector panels can be joined to form a
single cohesive collector array.
The collector tubes comprise of an outer tube and an absorber tube that offer a
permanent and maintenance free vacuum seal and consequently a consistently high
output. They can be used all the year round and offer a long service life.
The inside of the outer tube is mirrored in pure silver; a heat transfer medium flows
directly through the absorber tubes; this medium heats up under solar irradiation.
The vacuum tube collector is designed for installation on roofs of buildings and is
destined not for stand-alone operation, but exclusively for integration as a component
of a suitable and expertly installed heating system.
