Installation notes

CAUTION, RISK OF BURNING:
The solar collector can get very hot under the influence of the sun. There is a risk of
burning when touching the collector. After unpacking them, never expose unprotected
collectors to prolonged solar irradiation.
Where possible, only remove the collectors from their packing after fitting all fixing
elements to the roof. If you want to install several collectors, only remove one collector
at the time from its packing and install it, before unpacking the next one.
Safety instructions
WARNING, RISK OF A FALL:
There is a risk of a fall during work on the roof and whilst ascending/descending the
roof. Always observe the accident prevention regulations and use suitable methods
for preventing a fall.
WARNING, RISK OF INJURY:
During the installation on the roof there is a risk that tools, fitting material or the
collector fall from the roof and injure people below. Seal off the danger area on the
ground prior to commencing the installation and warn people that may be near or
inside the house. Ensure that children are kept away. Unauthorised individuals must
not ascend the roof.

when touching the collector. Only carry out the installation on the roof when it is
overcast/cloudy and never during midday; alternatively cover the collector with a blanket.
Who should install the collector?
The installation planning, implementation on the roof and commissioning of the
vacuum tube collectors must only be carried out by individuals, who are familiar with
the technically correct and safe implementation (contractors) on account of their
vocational/professional training.
The installation on the roof requires two people.
Installation pre-requisites
WARNING, RISK OF INJURY:
When collectors are insufficiently secured on a roof there is a risk that they could work
themselves loose, for example during a storm or through a snow load; this could lead
to damage to collectors, the roof or they may fall off the roof and injure someone.
Install collectors only on roofs where they can be reliably secured.
