Carry the collector to the roof
WARNING, RISK OF INJURY:
Risk of injury through breakage. Never carry the collector by its tubes.
Ensure before carrying the collector up that you can reliably hold it. Ensure
that there are no people in the danger area below the ladder.
Whilst carrying the collector up onto the roof ensure that it will not hit anything, for
example gutters and protrusions. Before carrying the collector up, remove the retaining
clip affixed to the upper fixing bracket of the collector and take that with you up onto the
roof.
It takes two people to transport the collector onto the roof. One holds the collector at its
top end, the other at its lower end, respectively at the fixing bracket.
The tube collectors are installed after the roof hooks and mounting rails have been
fitted. Remove the first collector from its packing. For this, remove the packing strap
and remove the packing lid.
Subject to local conditions, start the installation either on the l.h. or r.h. side of the
collector array. The following example sees the installation starting from the right.
The installation set for flow and return can also be fitted on the ground prior to the
collector being brought to the rooftop (see page 10).
First insert the collector into the top mounting rail.
At the bottom, the collector must lie flat on the bottom mounting rail. Align the collector
and secure first at the top then at the bottom of the mounting rails using the threaded
plates, washers and M 8x25 hexagon screws supplied, all in acc. with the Fig.

Remove the protective caps from the collector connections on the l.h. and r.h. side.
