Residual risks
There will always be residual risks even
if you operate this power tool according
to the instructions. The following hazards
may occur in connection with the type and
design of this power tool:
• Eye damage if no suitable eye protec-
tion is worn.
• Lung damage if suitable respiratory
protection is not worn.
• Hearing damage if suitable ear protec-
tion is not worn.
• Health injuries resulting from the effect
of vibration on the hands and arms in
the event that the device is used over
a longer period of time or is not used
and maintained properly.
• Cutting injuries
WARNING! Danger due to electro-
magnetic field generated while the ma-
chine is in operation. Under certain cir-
cumstances, this field may negatively af-
fect active or passive medical implants.
In order to reduce the danger of serious
or fatal injuries, we recommend that indi-
viduals who wear medical implants should
consult their doctor and the manufacturer
of the implant before operating the ma-
chine.
Preparation
WARNING! Risk of injury due to un-
intentional start-up. Do not insert the plug
into the outlet until the device is fully pre-
pared for use.
Control elements
Familiarise yourself with the operating ele-
ments before using the device for the first
time.
• Spindle lock (5)
• Locks the spindle when attaching/
removing the attachment tool.
• On/Off switch (10)
• Switching on: Press
• Switching off: Release
• Switch lock (11)
• Locks the on/off switch against unin-
tentional operation.
• Unlocking: Press
• Rotary wheel (13)
• The speed control (13) lets you
choose between seven speed levels:
11000-30000 min
Change collet chuck
Notes
• Only use the cutter with a shank dia-
meter suitable for the installed collet
chuck.
• Use only cutters that are suitable for the
speed of the power tool.
All cutters of the 6-part cutter set included
in the delivery are provided with an 8-mm
cutter shaft. Change the collet chuck for
cutters with a 6-mm cutter shaft.
Tools and aids required
• Open-end wrench (22)
• Pliers
Procedure (Fig. A)
1. Press and hold the spindle lock (5).
2. Use the combination wrench (22) to
screw off the coupling nut (6).
3. Release the spindle lock (5).
4. Remove the inserted collet chuck using
a pair of pliers.
5. Insert the desired collet chuck.
You will hear it click into place.
6. Screw the coupling nut (6) loosely
back on.
