Fitting and removing cutters
To insert and replace cutters,
wear protective gloves to prevent
cuts and burns.
CAUTION! Tighten the coupling nut
(6) only when a cutter is inserted. The col-
let chuck might get damaged.
Procedure (Fig. C)
1. Press and hold the spindle lock (5).
2. Use the combination wrench (22) to
loosen the coupling nut (6) as much as
needed, so that the cutter can be inser-
ted.
3. Release the spindle lock (5).
4. Insert the desired cutter into the
already mounted collet chuck (7, 14).
The cutter shaft must be pushed in at
least 20 mm.
5. Press and hold the spindle lock (5).
6. Tighten the coupling nut (6) using the
combination wrench (22).
7. Release the spindle lock (5).
Setting the milling depth
Procedure (Fig. D)
1. If necessary, lock the lever (1).
2. Place the device on the workpiece.

3. Turn the step limit (4) to the lowest pos-
ition.
4. Loosen the locking screw (23).
5. Loosen the lever (1).
6. Press down the device until the cutter
touches the workpiece.
7. Lock the lever (1).
8. Press the depth stop down until it rests
on the step limit.
9. Set the depth stop to the desired
milling depth.
NOTICE! The value displayed on the
scale of the depth stop does not corres-
pond to the actual milling depth.
10. Lock the locking screw (23).
11. Loosen the lever (1).
12. Guide the device back up again.
13. Check the milling depth with a practic-
al test.
Fine adjustment
1. Loosen the lever (1).
2. Press the device down until the depth
stop (19) rests on the step limit (4).
3. Lock the lever (1).
4. Loosen the locking screw (23).
5. Adjust the milling depth with the con-
trol (19a) (e.g. to the zero point of the
scale on the depth stop).
6. Lock the locking screw (23).
7. Loosen the lever (1).
8. Guide the device back up again.
9. Check the milling depth with a practic-
al test.
Fitting the adaptor for
external dust extraction
You can reduce dust formation while you
work by connecting a dust suction system.
The adaptor for external dust extraction
(20) can be inserted in two positions to
enable suction from left or right.
NOTICE! The vacuum cleaner must be
suitable for the material to be processed.
