Warning! Make certain the lock-off button is engaged
to prevent switch actuation before removing or
installing battery.
To install battery pack (Fig. C)
Insert battery pack firmly into tool until an audible click is
u
heard as shown in figure C. Ensure battery pack is fully
seated and fully latched into position.
To remove battery pack (Fig. C)
Depress the battery release button (13) as shown in figure
u
D and pull battery pack out of tool.

Proper Hand Position (Fig. D)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
@
injury, ALWAYS use proper hand position as shown.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, ALWAYS hold securely in anticipation of a
sudden reaction.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the main handle
( 3 ) as shown in Fig D.
Variable Speed Dial (Fig. E)
The material's rate of flow is controlled by the variable speed
dial ( 4 ) to accomodate various applications.
Pick a speed by turning the dial to the desired setting.
u
NOTE: '1' is the lowest (slowest) setting and '6' is the
highest (fastest) setting.
Trigger Switch (Fig. F)
Squeeze the trigger switch ( 1 ) to turn the tool on.
u
Release the trigger switch to turn the tool off.
u
Trigger Switch Lock-off (Fig. F)
Your tool is equipped with a trigger switch lock-off ( 2 ) to
safeguard against inadvertent release of material.
To lock the trigger switch, push trigger switch lock-
u
off ( 2 ) up. The tool will not operate with the switch in the
locked position.
To unlock the trigger switch, push the trigger switch lock-
u
off down.

(Original instructions)
To Adjust Plunger Rod
To manually adjust plunger rod ( 6 ), push or pull plunger
u
rod handle ( 5 ) to desirable position.
To Insert Material
Cartridge Holder (Fig. F, G)
NOTE: Material left in the cartridge holder may dry if left
unattended. Follow manufacturer's recommendations when
using caulk or adhesive material.
Ensure that plunger used is appropriate to material.
u
NOTE: Using incorrect plunger may result in material
container exploding during use, damaging cartridge holder
and/or caulk gun.
Use the trigger switch lock-off ( 2 ) to lock trigger
u
switch ( 1 ).
Trim nozzle end of the caulk/material tube.
u
NOTE: Small nozzle openings require more force to push
the material, possibly affecting battery life.
Break inner seal of caulking tube or material nozzle using the
u
poker ( 9 ) located on the under side of the cartridge holder.
NOTICE: If the inner seal is not broken, material could
be forced out through the rear of the tube and damage
the tool.
NOTICE: Keep plunger rod, cartridge holder and cartridge clean
of all material. Retracting a plunger rod that is covered with
dried material may damage the internal parts of the tool and
cause misalignment of tube.
Securely hold the tool and pull the plunger rod handle ( 5 )
u
back to allow the caulk/material tube to fit inside the
cartridge holder ( 8 ) .
Insert caulk/material tube with the nozzle towards the front
u
of the tool.
Push the plunger rod handle ( 5 ) forward until the
u
plunger ( 7 ) is against the tube.
Rotate cartridge holder to desired angle.
u
When ready to dispense, squeeze the trigger switch ( 1 ).
Electronic Overload Protection
The SFMCE600 has an electronic overload protection feature.
If too much pressure is exerted on the tube, the tool will turn
off. This helps to prevent damage to the tool and the caulk or
material tube.
If the tool turns off, make sure that:
Caulk or material nozzle tip is cut.
u
Inner seal in the caulk or material tube is broken.
u
Hardened material is removed from the nozzle.
u
Caulk or material tube is not damaged or frozen.
u
Plunger rod ( 6 ) is free of caulk or adhesive materials.
u
Release the trigger switch ( 1 ) and squeeze the trigger
u
switch ( 1 ) again to reset the tool.
If the tool turns off again, move the variable speed dial ( 4 )
to the middle position and squeeze the trigger switch ( 1 )
again. If the tool continues to turn off, try another tube of
caulk or material or take the tool to an authorized service
center.
