Intended use
The device is intended solely for cutting and styling hu-
man hair. Any other type of use is not permitted. When
used for an alternative purpose, operated incorrectly or
when unprofessional repairs are carried out, there is no li-
ability for any damages caused. The guarantee services also
do not apply in such instances!
Charging the device for battery operation
• When the appliance is delivered it is not yet ready to operate. The
appliance should be charged for 3.0 hours before being used for
the first time. The indicator light on the device signals that there
is contact between the machine and charging station or that the
power cable is plugged into the device. (see Fig.
• Battery charge status (white bar display only
shows one flashing bar)! Battery capacity 25% -
1%. Device should be charged.
• Battery charge status (white bar display) no lon-
ger shows any bars! State of charge control (plug
symbol) flashes red ≤ 1% battery capacity. Device
needs to be charged.
• Charge status control (plug symbol) lights up red!
Flashing bar graph shows the current charging sta-
tus, the device is charging.
• State of charge check (plug symbol) is off! All 4
bar displays light up. The device is fully charged.
NOTE! When the battery is empty you can still continue to
use the device by connecting the power cable directly to the
device (see Fig.
How to extend your battery life
• Before initial use, fully charge battery. Please ensure that the
charging procedure is performed at room temperature. This is
the only way to ensure a long battery life.
• Charger and battery can heat up during charging. This is nor-
mal and not a sign of a technical defect.
• The supplied Lithium-Ion battery can be charged at any time,
regardless of charge state.
Start-up and application
• Switch on the device with the on/off switch (see fig.
• Adjust the cutting length from approx. 0.9 mm to approx.
1.2 mm using the mechanical cutting length adjustment
(see Fig.
• Depending on the thickness of your hair, vary the speed of
the cutting plates between 5,000 and 7,000 rpm in 3 levels
using the +/- keys (see Fig.
–
).

• It is possible to extend the cutting length range
by 1.5 mm 3.0 mm, 6.0 mm, 9.0 mm or 12.0 mm
respectively with the help of the 5 comb attach-
ments (the cutting lengths are indicated of the
combs). To assemble, slide the comb on the
cutting head until it locks into the desired posi-
tion (see Fig.
). Please note that you should

work slowly and very accurately when using the
comb in order to achieve the required cut qual-
ity.
