You can hurt the person whose hair is being cut if
you operate the device incorrectly, for example in
the ear area. To avoid injuries, cut with one edge of the cutting
unit only. Ensure that the teeth of the cutting unit do not cut
ears. Push the outer ear rim slightly away from the head.
Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER! Danger to life from electric shock!
There is danger to life in case of contact with
live cables or components! Hence, please ob-
serve the following safety instructions:
• Before cleaning, disconnect the device from the mains an
switch off the device.
• Never immerse the device in water.
• Wipe your device occasionally using a damp cloth and
then rub dry. Always keep the electrical charge contacts
clean.
• Clean the blades with the brush provided after every use.
• Oil the clipper blades at least once a day at the exact points
described in Fig.

cutting head (see "Detach the cutting head for thorough
cleaning"). Just 1 drop per lubricating point. After lubrica-
tion, briefly switch on the appliance to spread the oil.
NOTE! Never use any other products for maintenance: This
oil has been specially developed for hair clippers and de-
signed to not vapourise or slow down the blades.
If the cutting performance deteriorates after a certain period
of use despite regular care, it is time to replace the clipper
blades. These are obtainable from your stock.
Detach the cutting head for thorough cleaning
• Remove the cutting plate as shown in figures
• Remove the hair cut thoroughly with a brush
• Attach the cutting plate again as shown in
force. The cutter edge must clearly lock into place.
Battery disposal
As consumer you are required by law to dis-
pose of used batteries and charger as hazardous waste.
Information on how to remove the battery when the device
reaches the end of its service life can be found in figures
to
. The device must be disposed of and NOT used again

after removing the battery.
Caution! Risk of injury from defective, leaking battery!
The applied battery contains substances that can result in
injuries when getting in contact with skin or when inhaled.
Should your device have a drained battery, you must use rub-
ber gloves to remove it from the device and properly dispose
of it in a closed container. According to the European Directive
2013/56/EU, faulty batteries must be collected separately and
reused or recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
Disposal possibilities are as follows:
– by dealer
– at a GRS recycling centre
– in special waste containers provided by the communities
Obtain additional disposal information from your community
or city.
Waste from electrical device at the end of their service life
Do not dispose of electrical devices with domestic waste! In ac-
cordance with European Directive 2012/19 / EU on old electrical
and electronic devices and its implementation in the national
law, electrical tools that are no longer suitable for use must be
separately collected and sent for recycling in an environmentally
sound manner. Recycling alternative for the return request:
Alternatively, the owner of an electric or electronic device is obli-
gated to cooperate in proper recycling in the event of a property
task instead of returning. Old equipment can also be 0ed in the
national recycling and waste management laws.
This does not apply to the accessories and aids included in old
equipment, which do not contain electrical components.
Warranty period
TONDEO grants the legal warranty to all electrical device
components not liable to wear and tear in all EU Member
States for all its electrical devices. In non-EU states, please
ask your specialist dealer. Not included in the warranty are
damages that can be attributed to regular wear and tear cut-
ting blades and batteries) as well as damages attributable to
improper use of the device.
