SAFETY IN THE USE OF FUELS
•
Fuel and oil are dangerous. Do not inhale or ingest. If you swallow fuel and/or oil, see your doctor promptly. If it
comes into contact with fuel or oil, clean immediately with plenty of soap and water. If your eyes or skin become
irritated, consult a doctor as soon as possible.
•
Do not refuel in closed or poorly ventilated places. Fuel and oil vapours contain hazardous chemicals.
•
Fuel and oil are dangerous and highly flammable chemicals. Do not bring flames, sparks or heat sources near
the machine. Do not smoke while transporting fuel, when refilling the tank or when working. In case of fire,
extinguish the fire with a dry powder extinguisher.
•
Always turn off the engine before refuelling.
•
Always refuel in well-ventilated areas and never with the engine running, or hot.
•
If a fuel leak is found, do not start or run the engine until the leak has been repaired.
•
Make sure the fuel cap is properly closed.
•
Fuel stored in the carburetor for long periods of time can cause a hard start and increase repairs and maintenance
of the machine.
•
Always store fuel in approved containers. Do not use fuel stored for more than 2 months, it will make starting
more difficult and produce unsatisfactory engine performance.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
•
This machine may be a potential source of electric shock if used improperly.
•
Do not expose this machine to rain or damp conditions. Do not touch the machine with wet hands.
•
The electrical outlet of this machine must match the base of the electrical plug. Never modify the electrical outlet
in any way.
•
Never use this machine with a damaged electrical outlet.
SAFE MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
•
Check regularly for broken parts or other conditions that may affect the proper operation of the machine. Do
not modify product controls.
•
Replace worn or damaged parts immediately with original spare parts only.
•
Carry out regular maintenance on the machine. Do not attempt any maintenance or repair work not described
in this instruction manual. We recommend that maintenance and repairs not described in this manual are carried
out by the Official Technical Service.
•
At the end of the work, always clean the machine of dust and dirt, especially the fuel tank, its surroundings and
the air filter.
•
Turn off the machine and disconnect the spark plug before making any adjustments, fueling, changing
accessories, servicing, transporting or storing this machine.
•
If the machine begins to vibrate strangely, turn it off and examine it to find the cause. If you do not detect the
reason, take your machine to the Official Technical Service.
•
Reduce the engine speed when switching off the engine. If the engine is equipped with a fuel shut-off valve, use
it when the engine has stopped.
•
To avoid burns or fire hazards, allow the equipment to cool completely before transporting or storing.
•
When transporting the product, make sure that the engine is stopped and that the machine is properly secured
to prevent it from tipping over, spilling fuel or being damaged.
•
The equipment is not weather resistant, and should not be stored in direct sunlight, high ambient temperatures,
or in humid or wet locations.
•
Store the product out of the reach of children.
