WORK AREA SAFETY
•
Keep the work area clean, clear and free of debris when operating the equipment.
•
Do not use this machine in explosive atmospheres, or in the presence of flammable liquids, gases and dust.
Exhaust gases and fuel vapors contain carbon monoxide and hazardous chemicals.
•
Keep children, people or animals away while operating this machine.
•
Always operate the log splitter on clear and level ground.
•
Do not operate the log splitter at night, only during the day.
•
Make sure the hydraulic hoses do not touch any hot surfaces or cutting areas. The hoses need to be positioned
where they are clear from the engine and cutting wedge. To avoid serious bodily injury always inspect the hoses
before operating the log splitter.
•
Remember that the operator of the machine is responsible for the dangers and accidents caused to other people
or things. The manufacturer will not be in any case responsible for the damages caused by improper or incorrect
use of this machine
USE OF COMBUSTIBLES SAFETY
•
Fuel and oil are dangerous. Do not inhale or swallow them. If you ingest fuel and/or oil, go to your doctor quickly.
If you come in contact with fuel or oil, clean yourself with plenty of soap and water as soon as possible, if you
feel irritated eyes or skin, immediately consult a doctor.
•
Fuel and oil are dangerous and highly flammable chemicals. If they ignite, extinguish the fire with a dry powder
extinguisher.
•
Do not spill fuel or smoke near the machine.
•
Always turn off the engine before refuelling.
•
Always refuel in well-ventilated areas and never with the engine running, or hot.
•
If you find a fuel leak, do not start or run the engine until the leak has been repaired.
•
Make sure that the fuel cap is properly closed.
•
Fuel stored in the carburettor for long periods of time can cause a hard start and could also lead to further repairs
and maintenance.
•
Always store the fuel in approved containers.
MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE SAFETY
•
Check that all safety elements are installed and in good condition.
•
Do not force this machine. Do not modify the machine controls or engine speed adjustments.
•
If the machine vibrates abnormally stop the engine, inspect the machine for the possible cause and repair it. If
you can not find the reason, take your machine to your Official Technical Service.
•
When towing the equipment, always do so at reduced speed on rough terrain, along creeks, ditches and on
slopes. To avoid personal injury and/or equipment damage, do not exceed the speed of 70Km/h. Always consult
the tow vehicle owner's manual for proper operation.
•
Before towing the log splitter, the tires need to be fully inflated.
•
Always secure and hold the log splitter to the vehicle hitch before towing.
•
Inspect the hydraulic system regularly to detect possible leaks. Never check for leaks by hand while the system is
pressurized. Seek medical attention immediately if you injure yourself with any fluid leaks.
•
Make sure all fittings are tight and secure before applying pressure. Relieve system pressure before servicing.

Have the machine checked periodically by a qualified technician using only original spare parts. Should you have
