TRANSPORTING THE MACHINE (FIG. 32)
NOTICE: When using a forklift, the machine must be transported on
the bottom frame at all times! Forklift should never come in direct
contact with the machine!
We recommend to keep the bottom shipping frame to facilitate the
transportation of the machine later for service.
See "TRANSPORT" chapter earlier in this manual for safety
instructions before transporting the machine.
Required equipment (not included)
◾
Full size pickup truck or trailer with the bed that is large
enough to fit the machine.
◾
3 ratchet tie-down straps.
◾
Measuring tape.
◾
Bungee cord(s) or rope.
◾
2 people.
◾
2 dual runner folding ATV ramps with at least 661 lbs (300 kg) capacity and 12" (30.5 cm) width. The length of the
ramp is determined by how high the truck/trailer bed is above ground.
For your safety, make sure that the incline of the ramps is less than 15° whenever possible.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury and property damage, NEVER drive the machine up or down the ramp.
WARNING: Heavy object. Two people are required to load/unload the machine.
To load the machine onto a truck or trailer
a. Make sure your truck or trailer is parked on a level surface. The rear of the machine should face the rear of the
truck/trailer.
b. Remove the battery packs from the machine.
c. Lift the side discharge chute and secure it in the vertical position with bungee cord(s) or a rope.
d. Unfold the ramps and visually align the bottom of each ramp with the center of the corresponding rear wheel.
e. Use the measuring tape to make sure that the top ends of the ramps are parallel to the bottom ends.
f. Connect one end of the ratchet strap to the safety chain hook on the truck/trailer. connect the other end to the hinge
(or middle) of the ramp. Repeat this step with the other ramp.
g. Tighten the straps and make sure the ramps are secure and there's no movement when you tug on the ramps or
straps.
WARNING: Always make sure the ramps are properly secured. Improperly secured ramps may cause the machine
to fall down, causing serious personal injury and damage.
h. Use the measuring tape to once again verify that the ramps are parallel.
i. Make sure the machine 's parking brake pedal is disengaged.
j. Each person should place one hand on the plastic enclosure near the control panel and the other hand on the rear
fender and push the machine up the ramp. NEVER use the steering wheel, the deck height adjustment lever, or any
part of the seat to push the machine.
