TELETEXT Mode

Text/Mix button &/c
* When the Text/Mix button is pressed the
first time, the initial position of a Teletext
broadcast will be displayed on the screen.
* When the Text/Mix button is pressed a se-
cond time, a Teletext broadcast will be su-
perimposed on the TV programme. Press
the button again to return to Teletext broad-
-casting only.
Note:
'Initial position' indicates
the last number
memorized in the red brackets.
Top/Bottom/Full button
eWhen
the Top/Bottom/Full
button
is
pressed the first time, the top half of the
Teletext page will be magnified and dis-
played on the screen.
*When
the Top/Bottom/Full
button
is
pressed the,second time, the bottom half of
the Teletext page will be magnified and dis-
played on the screen.
eWhen
the Top/Bottom/Fuil
button
is
pressed the third time, the Bottom mode
will be cancelled and the full Teletext page
will appear on the screen. Press the button
again to return to the Top mode.
Picture button ()
«When the Picture button is pressed in the
Text
or Mix
mode,
the
mode
will be
changed to an ordinary TV programme
screen. Press the Text/Mix button again to
return to the Teletext page previously dis-
played on the screen.
Hold button
eAny Teletext page can be held on the
screen by pressing the Hold button when
waiching a Teletext broadcast. Press the
button again to cancel the hold mode.
Reveal button
¢ When the Reveal button is pressed the first
time, any hidden information such as the
answer to a quiz will be revealed on the
screen.
« When the Reveal button is pressed the se-
cond time, the information will disappear.
Press the button again to reveal the infor-
mation.

Time button Ga /Cancel button =
When
timer setting is required for some
Teletext page, press the Time button, and
then input the time as required. Press the
Cancel button to return to an ordinary TV
programme.
When the Time button is pressed while view-
ing a TV programme, the current time ap-
pears on the screen for approximately 6
seconds.
Notes:
1. When the Time button is pressed again af-
ter timer setting, the timer setting will be
cancelled.
. The Teletext page must have timer setting
signals
transmitted
from
the Teletext
broadcasting station.
Reset button =i)
When the Reset button is pressed in Teletext
mods, previously set Teletext functions such
as page memory or time coded page will be
reset and an ordinary TV programme will ap-
pear while the Teletext decoder is set up to
display the initial position
of a Teletext
broadcast.
Store buttons
First input the desired Teletext page number
into the red, green,
yellow,
and/or
cyan
brackets, then press this button for a second.
The brackets will change to white for a se-
cond, then will change back to the original
colour. The page numbers are now stored in
the corresponding page memories.
Page Selector buttons (A/V)
These buttons (A/V) allow sequential selec-
tion of pages.
Note:
When you wish to directly input 3 digits, use
the 0-9 digit buttons.
Index button £7
Used to recall the page you stored yourself.
Pressing this button displays the page num-
ber which was last stored in the red brackets.
Coloured buttons (Red, Green, Yel-
low, Cyan) ==)
When
any of these coloured
buttons is
pressed, the brackets move to the position
that corresponds
to the pressed button,
where you can input the page number you
want to store.
Browse button
Pressing this button displays a Teletext page
at random, a further press displays a differ-
ent random page and So on.
How to Use the Page Memory
When you select Teletext mode, 4 coloured
page numbers
appear in the lower part
screen.
These page numbers are those stored in the
internal memory.
You can change these numbers to choose
other pages that you want to store. To specify
a page
number,
first press any of the
coloured buttons on the remote control trans-
mitter, then input the desired page number
into the corresponding coloured brackets us-
ing the page selector buttons or 0-9 digit
buttons.

Finally press and hold the store button until
the coloured brackets change to white. The
specified Teletext page has now been stored
in the page memory.
Note:
All four page numbers will be stored at the
same time.
Pr/CH/CC
STORE
You can store a set of four different Teletext
page numbers into 16 programme positions.
This means that you can store a total of 64
Teletext pages in the TV memory.
Note:
¢ Teletext page numbers stored, are left intact
after the power is switched off. If there is no
page that matches the page number in the
brackets, the brackets will blink.
* If programme channet selection is used, a
set of 4 teletext pages can be stored in any
combination (or all) of the programme posi-
tions 1-15. A single set of 4 teletext pages
can be stored in one of the programme posi-
tions 16-99, the AV channel or the 21-pin
Euro-SCART source. If real channel selec-
tion is used, only one set of 4 teletext pages
can be stored. Whenever a single set of
teletext
pages
is stored,
the previously
stored set is erased. Programme positions
1-15 in the programme channel selection
mode are not affected by this operation.
