Fuel supply

Motor fuel supply
• Follow the Safety Standards for fuel handling (page 5).
• Set the tool onto the ground.
• Clean the surface around the fuel tank cap to avoid
contamination.
• Slowly loosen the fuel tank cap.
• To avoid any spills carefully pour the fuel mix into de
tank.
CAUTION
Follow the fuel specifications
(page 3).
• Double-check and clean the joints before setting back
the fuel tank cap.
• Immediately set the fuel tank cap and tighten by hand.
• Clean up any spilled fuel.
CAUTION
Smoke emissions in a new motor is a
normal occurrence during and after it is used for the first
time.

Start Up

Starting a cold motor
• Set the tool on leveled ground. Verify the blade is not
making contact with any obstacle.
• Firmly hold the front handle with your left hand and put
your right foot onto the rear handle base (A).
• Set the switch in the ON position (B).
• Press and release the primer bulb 10 times (C).

• Move the choke lever to the "
" position (1).
• Press the trigger release and the throttle trigger, push the
accelerator lock button, and release the throttle trigger.
• Pull the starter (D) to start the motor. Once the motor
starts do not let go the starter. To prevent damaging the
starter set it carefully back to its initial position.
• When the motor is running set the choker lever into the
"
" position (2).

• Let it work in that position for 15 to 30 seconds, then
press and release the throttle trigger to run it at idle speed.

• The tool is now ready to operate. Hold it with both hands in
the handles and lift to start the job.
