The better the container is protected from extreme temperatures during transport (e.g. Transport in covered or sheeted containers), the
higher the percentage of usable fill, and thus the amount of oil transported.
Failure to respect the precautions can lead to dispersion of dangerous material in transit, or emission of flammable vapours, which, besides
constituting serious violations of environmental and traffic regulations, can represent danger regarding the formation of potentially explosive
atmosphere or fire triggers.
Please pay attention when opening the filler cap of CTK tanks because the tank can present an internal overpressure. In
order to facilitate the progressive vent, so avoiding cap projection risk, firmly grasp the cap (using gloves) and unscrew it
slowly taking care to keep the face at a safe distance (outstretched arm and face turned).
12.3. EMPTYING
Before starting emptying it is appropriate to provide a good electrical connection between the metal frame (equipotential) of the transfer
unit and the other metal container in which you want to dump the fuel, using, for example, a cable with pliers.
To make the transfer, perform the following operations in sequence, with reference to a vehicular connection condition (scheme § 11.4.6).
For easier understanding, the operations are proposed by type of GIR/IBC and indicating in () the component shown in § 9.2- Legend.
CTK SERIES
– Open the cover (only CTK 450 and CTK900+100)
– Make sure that the switch (6) of the electric pump (5) is switched to "O".
– Enable the power line through the circuit breaker (§ 11.4.6)
– Unroll the hose (8) and insert the gun (9) in the destination tank, after locking the lever in the "on" position.
– Turn the knob (4) to the "OPEN" position2
– Start the pump by placing the switch (12) to position "I"
– Proceed with transferring within max.2 minutes after ignition of the pump
– Check on the achievement of the desired degree of filling, or wait for the overflow shot in case of automatic gun.
After complete emptying, perform the operations described below in sequence:
– Turn off the switch on the pump body (pos. "0").
– Turn the knob (4) to the position "closed" (see note 2)
– Empty liquid still pressing down on gun (9), in order to discharge any residual pressure in the discharge pipe.
– Replace the hose (8), properly wrapped, at the location indicated by fig. § 9.2.1 and § 9.2.2, placing the gun (9) into the recess of the housing.
– Close the cover (only CTK 450 and CTK900+100)
– Disconnect the power line through the circuit breaker.
Attention: For the CTK 900 + 100 version only, the relative switch (19) must be activated (see figure in § 9.2.3) for the submersible
pump to function. Given the lack of the urea tank level indicator, ALWAYS make sure that there is product before activating the
switch
HIPPOTANK SERIES
– Make sure that the switch (12) of the electric pump (11) is in the off position "O".
– Enable the power line through the circuit breaker (§ 11.4.6)
– Unroll the hose (16) and insert the gun (17) in the destination tank, after locking the lever in the "open" position.
– Rotate the taps (10) and (14) to the "OPEN" position 3
– Start the pump by placing the switch (12) to position "I"
– Proceed with transferring within max. 2 minutes after ignition of the pump
- Check on the achievement of the desired degree of filling, or wait for the overflow shot in case of automatic gun.
After complete emptying, perform the operations described below in sequence:
-
Turn off the switch on the pump body (pos. "0").
-
Turn the knob (10) to "CLOSED" position (Note 3)
-
Empty liquid still pressing down on gun (17), in order to discharge any residual pressure in the discharge pipe.
-
Turn the knob (14) to "CLOSED" position (Note 3).
-
Replace the hose (16), correctly rolled up within the metal cabinet, hanging the gun (17) to the holder.
-
Disconnect the power line through the circuit breaker.
2 The "CLOSED" position corresponds to the faucet handle placed at right angles to the tube (see part. n. 4 in § 9.2); the "OPEN" one corresponds to the faucet handle
placed parallel to the tube (see part. n.4 in § 9.2).
3 The "CLOSED" position is the one with the fin or the faucet handle placed at right angles to the tube; "OPEN" is the one with the fin or the faucet handle placed
parallel to the tube
