♦ Receive a position reply call:
When a position reply call is received:
1. "DSC" and "POS REPLY" appear on the LCD.
● Latitude and longitude from the called station are scrolled in the channel comments display.
● "NO POSITION" scrolls in the channel comment display when no position information is received.
2. Beeps sound. Press [CLR] to stop the beeps.
■ Position report call:
♦ Transmit a position report call:
Transmit a position report call when you want to inform other ships of your location.
In DSC menu, select "POS REPORT" functions, and then choose the desired pre-programmed individual address or "MANUAL INPUT".
● The ID code for the individual should be pre-programmed in advance.
● If "MANUAL INPUT" is selected, press [▲] or [▼] to set the 9-digit MMSI ID code for the individual you wish to call.
The position information appears. Press [▲] or [▼] to input the position data (Latitude and Longitude) directly, and then press [ENT]. Channel
70 is automatically selected and "READY" appears in the channel comments on the LCD. Press [ENT] to transmit the position report call. If
channel 70 is busy, the transceiver will remain in standby mode until the channel becomes clear. After the position report call has been
transmitted, the transceiver will return to normal operation mode.
