♦ Transmit a test call:
In DSC menu, select "TEST CALL" functions, and then choose a desired pre-programmed individual address or "MANUAL INPUT".
● The ID code for the individual should be pre-programmed in advance.
● If "MANUAL INPUT" is selected, press [▲] or [▼] to set the 9-digit MMSI ID code for the individual you wish to call.
Channel 70 is automatically selected and "READY" appears in the channel comment display. Press [ENT] to transmit the test call. If channel
70 is busy, the transceiver will remain in standby mode until the channel becomes clear. After the test call has been transmitted, the
transceiver will return to normal operation mode.
♦ Receive a test call:
When a test call is received:
1. "DSC" and "RCV TEST CALL" appear on the LCD.
2. The beeps sound. Press [CLR] to stop the beeps.
3. Press [ENT] to reply the call, or press [CLR] to ignore.
♦ Transmit a test acknowledgement call:
Transmit a test acknowledgement call when a test call is received:
In DSC menu, select "TEST ACK" functions, and then choose a pre-programmed individual address. Channel 70 is automatically selected and
"READY" appears in the channel comment display. Press [ENT] to transmit the test acknowledgement call, then the transceiver will return to
normal operation mode.
♦ Receive a test acknowledgement call:
When a test acknowledgement call is received:
1. "DSC" and "RCV TEST ACK" appear on the LCD.
2. The beeps sound. Press [CLR] to stop the beeps.
3. Press [ENT] to reply the call, or press [CLR] to ignore the call.
■ Received messages:
The transceiver automatically stores up to 20 distress messages and 20 other messages. The messages can be used as assistance to the
logbook.
