■ Functions setting:
♦ Scan type:
The transceiver incorporates normal scan and priority scan. Normal scan searches all channels in the selected channel group. Priority scan
searches all channels in sequence while monitoring channel 16.
♦ Scan Resume Timer:
Available options: ON/OFF.
OFF: The scan pauses until the signal disappears.
ON: The scan pauses for 5 seconds and resumes even if a signal has been received on any other channel than channel 16.
♦ Weather Alert:
A NOAA broadcast station transmits a weather alert tone before important weather information. When the weather alert function is ON, the
transceiver detects the alert, then the "WX ALT" icon blinks until the transceiver is operated. The previously selected (used) weather channel is
checked at any time during standby mode or while scanning. "WX ALT" appears instead of "WX" indication when the function is set ON.
