Filters and facepieces
Filters
Always install 3 new filters of the same type! i.e. 3 x A2P R SL or 3 x ABEK2 P R SL
For P R SL filters it is possible to use only 2 new filters. (Figure B) Use filter port plug.
Install only new filters without any damage.
Caution! Before mounting new filters, make sure they are undamaged, in the original
packing and their service life has not expired (expiry date is marked directly on the body
of the filter). Check also whether the seals at the connecting points of the filters and the
blower unit are undamaged and safe.
Facepieces
Headtops and full face masks are described in separate Instructions for Use.

- Label Figure H.
The standard long life rechargeable Li-ion battery is specially designed for use with the
T-AIR PAPR blower. The rechargeable batteries reach their full capacity after 5 charge and
discharge cycles. The standard charge takes approx. 3 hours. In cases where the battery
has been completely drained charging may take up to 4 hours longer.
To prevent damage to or explosion of the rechargeable battery, charging is limited to a
temperature range of 0°C to 50°C. If this temperature range is exceeded or falls below,
charging will stop automatically and continue once the temperature range is reached
again.

Functional description
The powered air purifying respirator, T-Air, is a respiratory protective device depending
on circulating air.
It filters the ambient air and makes it available as breathable air. The device continuously
takes in ambient air through the filters. The filters absorb harmful substances depending
on the filter type. In this way, the ambient air is recycled and finally reaches the
facepiece. There it is available as breathable air.
A continuous overpressure in the facepiece prevents ambient air from penetrating.
