#2 Phillips screwdriver

1. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws (A) that secure the battery cover (B) to the enclosure (Figure 9).
Save the cover. Remove and discard the batteries.
N N o o t t e e - - Always dispose of old batteries in accordance with local regulations.
2. Reverse steps to reinstall.
3. Zero the scale before you return the product to service. See Zeroing the scale (page 16).
