Remove product from service before you perform the preventive maintenance inspection. Check all items listed during
annual preventive maintenance for all Stryker Medical products. You may need to perform preventive maintenance checks
more often based on your level of product usage. Service only by qualified personnel.
N N o o t t e e - - Clean and disinfect the exterior of the mattress before inspection, if applicable.
Inspect the following items:
All welds
All fasteners are secure
Casters lock with brake pedal applied
Casters are secure and swivel
Casters are free of wax and debris
Brake mechanism works
Steer function works
Check skins for cracks
Fowler raises, lowers, and latches in place
Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg operate
Hydraulic jacks are holding
No leaks at hydraulic connections
Hydraulic jack oil level sufficient
Lubricate where required
IV pole option is intact and adjusts and latches in all positions
Oxygen bottle holder option is intact
No rips or cracks in the mattress cover
Accessories and mounting hardware are in good condition
Display housing is intact and not damaged (scale system option)
Load cells are intact and not damaged (scale system option)
Calibrate scale (scale system option)
Replace siderail assist cable every five years
Replace siderail central column spring every four years
Siderail/endrail handle triggers and rotates
Siderails/endrails raise, lower, and lock in the 9 in., 14 in., and 26 in. position
Siderails/endrails stop at the 9 in. position when lowered (option)
Access doors open, close, and lock (option)
Foot prop intact and operable
Foley bag hooks intact
Ground chain is clean, intact, and has at least two links touching the floor
