15.3.4 Change V-belt
Remove the blade.
Turn the belt tension hand wheel (V) to release tension from the
drive belt.
Loosen and remove the drive wheel securing nut and washer
(A2) (located at the rear of the saw).
Remove the drive belt and the pulley.
Place the new drive belt over the pulley on the main drive
wheel.
Re-fit the drive wheel to the saw and fully tighten the lock nut
to secure.
15.3.5 Track saw blade
Loosen the lock star knob (O).
With the top door open, turn the drive wheel by handle.
Continue to turn the drive wheel and at the same time turn the
blade tracking lever (P).
Turn both the drive wheel and the blade tracking knob until the
blade is sitting on the centre of the drive wheel.
15.3.6 Setting the blade guide
The guides should be adjusted so that the blade is about 0.5
mm from the guide.
15.3.7 Upper guide
Loosen the knurled jam nuts (Q).
Rotate the adjusting rod (R) counterclockwise.
Adjust the distance with the two Allen screws.
(S) large movements; (T) small movements.
Move the guide until the guide is set in the right position.
Re-tighten all Allen screws to secure the guide in place.
15.3.8 Lower guide
Loosen the knurled jam nut (Q) and the wheel (R).
Adjust the distance with the two Allen screws.
(U) large movements; (T) small movements.
Move the guide until the guide is set in the right position.
Re-tighten all Allen screws to secure the guide in place.
After setting and before switch on turn the upper wheel roll by hand a few times
to see if the band saw runs out of the rollers. If this is the case, the blade must
be aligned again.
