OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The airborne noise emitted by the machine,
measured on a specimen machine, is lower than
80dB(A), distance 1 m.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
ALL MODELS
- The materials used to construct the machine have been selected in
accordance with the current regulations for food.
- The machine has a safety device to avoid accidental use. To start the
machine, two buttons must be pressed at the same time.
- Each device is supplied with a wall support to facilitate its installation
in the kitchen.
GSM1010, GSM1015, GSM1015D
- The motor block (1) has watertight control buttons.
- The motor has a thermal protection device which causes it to stop if it
becomes overloaded.
- GMS-1015D: Model with variable speed and detachable blender arm
to enable better cleaning.
GSM1060 MODELS
- The motor block (1) has three watertight control buttons.
- The electronic control stops the appliance from turning on again in
case of power failure or if it is unplugged.
- The motor has a thermal protection device which causes it to stop if it
becomes overloaded.
- The blender arm is detachable to enable better cleaning.
START-UP AND INSTALLATION
Before using the machine for the first time, clean the area in contact with
food with (lukewarm) soapy water, rinse and leave to dry.
Multiple cleanig clicles before first use.
For optimum performance and long-lasting preservation of your machine,
carefully follow the start-up and installation instructions given in this
manual and the intended conditions of use.
INSTALLATION
Before plugging the appliance in, make sure that the mains voltage
coincides with the voltage indicated on the name plate attached to the
machine.
The appliance has a wall support. Consider a location for said support.
OPERATION
Plug the device in.
Introduce the appliance's arm into the container, a maximum of up to
2/3 of the length of the arm. For improved operation, it's best not to
touch the bottom. To avoid splashes from entering the motor block,
we recommend that the tilt of the appliance does not exceed 30° (See
figure 6).
When you have finished using it, if you don't intend on using it again,
always disconnect the plug from the wall socket.
If overheating occurs due to prolonged use or overload, the thermal
protector protects the motor and stops it. Wait for the liquidiser to cool
before turning it on again.
OPERATION OF CONTROLS
GSM1010, GSM1015 and GSM1015D MODELS (See figure 3)
On (6): Turn the machine on by pressing this button at the same time as
the Safety button (7).
Safety (7): if this button is not pressed, the machine can't be turned on.
Once in operation, the machine won't stop if this button is released.
Control button (12, only GSM1015D model): this is used to modify the
speed of the blade.
GSM1060 MODELS (See figures 4 and 5)
On (9): Turn the machine on by pressing this button at the same time as
the Safety button (11). If the machine isn't locked, when the "On" button
is released the machine will stop.
Safety (11): if this button is not pressed, the machine can't be turned
on. Once in operation, the machine won't stop if this button is released.
Locking (10): If this button is pressed when the machine is in operation,
the machine remains locked and continues to operate, even if all of the
buttons are released. The machine becomes unlocked when the "On"
button is pressed again (9).
ASSEMBLY OF THE BLENDER ARM (GSM1015D and GSM1060
models)
Guide the blender arm attachment (2) into the body of the motor (1) and
turn the arm anti-clockwise until it is firmly attached.
MAINTENANCE
- If the power cable is damaged and a new one must be installed, only
a METRO qualified technical service should replace it.
- The blade will deteriorate over time. It needs to be replaced regularly.
- Regularly check the seal of the blender arm.
CLEANING AND HYGIENE WARNINGS
- To avoid electric shocks that can cause serious personal injury, unplug
the liquidiser before cleaning. After cleaning, reconnect it.
- To avoid damaging the liquidiser or causing accidents, read and follow
all of the manufacturer's instructions regarding cleaning the liquidiser.
- Do not use the following products:
- Abrasive cleaning products such as ammonia, bleach, etc.
- Solvents
- Metal scourers for scrubbing
- Gritty detergents.
These products may scratch, cut and damage the metal and plastic
surfaces of the liquidiser.
CLEANING PROCEDURE.
After each use, submerge the blender arm in a container with hot water
(35-45 °C) up to 2/3 of its height and turn the appliance on for a few
seconds. Wash the tube (5) and the blade with hot water (35-40 ºC) and
a multi-use liquid detergent (like Ivory Liquid) at a ratio of 1 measure of
detergent to 10 measures of water, leaving these parts submerged for
30 minutes. Remove soap residue from the agitators, rinsing with hot
water (35-45 °C) following the instructions in the paragraph "Rinsing
Procedure".
RINSING PROCEDURE.
After this period of time, rinse the element under clean running water
(at least 5 litres), washing away any remaining soap and disinfectant.
Finally, leave to dry at room temperature. The motor block (4) should
only be cleaned with a damp cloth. Under no circumstances should it be
washed under running water. If water accidentally penetrates the motor
block, do not connect the machine again and contact an authorised
technical service. After cleaning, place the appliance back on its wall
support.
