DESCRIPTION OF THE UNIT
Split air-conditioner with an ECA cassette-type indoor unit
for handling air during summer and with the heat-pump ver-
sion also in winter.
The indoor unit is ceiling-mounted with the possibility of
treating fresh outside air and sending treated air to adjacent
rooms.
The ECA indoor unit is supplemented with the obligatory
accessory GLA-R which includes the remote control, the
frame with the receiver, the adjustable delivery slats and the
electrostatically precharged filter.
The ECA units can be combined with outdoor unit of our
production, CS or CS-H for the versions with 230V single-
phase power supply and CXA-T for the versions with 400V
three-phase power supply.
FEATURES

DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS
BASE
The machine has a load bearing base in sheet metal that is
drawn with galvanised steel and varnished with polyester
powder, externally insulated to avoid the loss of heat and
the formation of condensate, to which all components of
the unit are secured: fastening clamps, batteries, motors and
fan, condensate drain pump, attachment plates, terminal
board unit and the condensate collection tray (fitted on the
battery clamps)
FASTENING CLAMPS
Galvanised steel clamps for attaching the unit to the ceiling.
TRAY - (CABINET)
The unit's closing cabinet is made out of high density poly-
styrene to avoid the loss of heat and the formation of con-
densate and conveys the treated air toward the slats, from
the condensate collection tray and together with the specific
flanges connects the channels to the unit for the renewal of
room air and/or to send it to an adjacent room.
THERMAL EXCHANGE BATTERY
The utilised batteries, which are of a circular form, have
copper tubes and corrugated or turbulent aluminium slats.
FAN UNIT
The fan unit, with an axial-centrifuge fan is dynamically and
statically balanced and connected to a four-speed motor.
It has 11 backwardly curving blades, with adjustable pitches
for noise reduction.
For maintenance purposes, you can access the fan and the
motor by simply removing the conveyor, without removing
the polystyrene tray.
CONVEYER
The air intake conveyor is equipped with a protective grille
that impedes access to the moving fan.
CONDENSATE DRAIN DEVICE
The condensate drain device is needed to dispose of the
condensate that is produced by the unit and deposited in
the polystyrene tray. This unit is composed of a control
board, a non return valve, a three level float and a pump
with 800 mm. max. head.
ALARM: when the level of the condensate in the tray rea-
ches the limit of 16 mm, the alarm will stop the flow of the
water to the battery, allowing only the fan to function.
The polystyrene tray is fitted with a SCT hole, at a height of
30.5 mm from the bottom, that permits the total drainage of
the condensate water in the case that the pump-float device
should not function.
ELECTRONIC BOX
The electronic box can be easily accessed and contains the
terminal board for the electrical connections.
The electronic control board is located in a second electro-
nic box.
ATTACHMENT PLATES
The attachment plates group the cooling connections and
the condensate drain.
FRAME WITH INTAKE AND DELIVERY GRILLE AND
WITH REMOTE CONTROL (ACCESSORY GLA-R)
The GLA-R accessory is composed of a remote control and
a plastic, internally insulated frame and contains inside an
air filter that can be easily removed for cleaning purposes,
adjustable delivery slats and the receiver.
The form and opening of the intake slats were developed in
order to have the best possible distribution of the air, both
when functioning in winter as well as in summer.
Intake occurs through the central grille and delivery through
the adjustable, perimetric slots.
