OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE
ES
INSTRUCTIONS
Cleaning and maintenance.
Important: The user must have the heating system serviced at least once
TR
a year and a combustion test ("fume test") carried out at least once every
two years.
This ensures that the optimal safety, performance and operation characte-
ristics of the boiler remain unchanged over time.
RO
We recommend stipulating a yearly cleaning and maintenance contract
with your area technician.
General instructions.
IE
Do not expose the wall-mounted boiler to direct vapours from cooktops.
The boiler must not be used by unskilled persons or children.
Do not touch the fume extraction terminal (if fitted) due to high tem-
peratures;
For safety purposes, check that the concentric air intake/fume exhaust
terminal (if fitted) is not even temporarily blocked.
If temporary boiler shutdown is required, proceed as follows:
a) drain the heating system if antifreeze is not used;

Key:
1 - Power On green LED
2 - Flame presence LED
3 - Domestic mode LED
4 - Heating mode LED
5 - Temperature LED - "Ignition block" anomaly
6 - Temperature LED - Fume pressure switch anomaly
7 - Temperature LED - System low pressure anomaly
8 - Temperature LED - Insufficient circulation anomaly
Boiler lighting.
Before lighting, make sure that the system is full of water and that the
manometer (15) indicates a pressure of 1÷1.2 bar.
- Open the gas cock ahead of the boiler.
- Turn the main switch (12) to Domestic/Remote Friend Control (CAR)
(
) or Domestic and Heating (
N.B.: When the main switch (12) is turned to one of these positions, the
power On green indicator (1) will stay on.
During normal boiler operation LEDs 5 to 11 indicate the temperature of
the water exiting the main heat exchanger.
N.B.: Flashing of one of the LEDs from 5 to 11 together with flashing
(alternating) of LED 1 indicates an anomaly (see the following par.).
Boiler operation in domestic hot water phase and the heating phase is
signalled by the lighting (fixed) of LEDs 3 and 4 respectively.
• Operation with Remote Friend Control (Optional). With the switch (12)

b)
turn off electrical, water and gas feeds.
In case of work or maintenance to structures located near fume exhaust
ducting or devices and relative accessories, switch off the appliance and on
completion of the works have a qualified technician check the efficiency
of the ducting or devices.
Do not clean the appliance or its parts with easily flammable substances.
Do not leave containers or flammable substances in the same room as the
appliance.
• N.B.: The use of any component that uses electrical power requires
observance of some fundamental rules:
- do not touch the appliance with wet or moist parts of the body; do not
touch when barefoot.
- do not pull the electrical cables or leave the appliance exposed to atmo-
spheric agents (rain, sunlight, etc.);
- the appliance power cable must not be replaced by the user;
- if the cable is damaged, switch off the appliance and contact exclusively
qualified personnel for replacement;
- if the appliance is not used for a certain period, disconnect the main
power switch.
9 - Temperature LED - Delivery sensor anomaly
10 - Temperature LED - Domestic circuit sensor anomaly
11 - Temperature LED - Overtemperature block anomaly
12 - Standby-Domestic/Remote Control (CAR)-Domestic and Heating-
Reset selector
13 - Domestic hot water temperature selector
14 - Heating temperature knob
15 - Boiler manometer
(13) and (14) are cut out. The boiler adjustment parameters are settable
from the control panel of the Remote Friend Control. Connection to
the Remote Friend Control (CAR) is indicated by LEDs 3 and 4 (
) lighting up (fixed) at the same time. The temperature and any anomaly
indications are maintained on the control panel also in the presence of
the CAR.
• Operation without Remote Friend Control. With the switch (12) set to (
) the heating adjustment selector (14) is cut out, and the domestic
water temperature is regulated by selector (13). With the switch (12)
set to (
) the heating adjustment selector (14) is used for adjust-
ing the temperature of the radiators, whereas selector (13) is still used
for the domestic hot water. Turn the selectors clockwise to increase the
temperature, and anticlockwise to lower the temperature.
Boiler operation is now automatic. With no demand for heat (heating
or domestic hot water production) the boiler goes on "standby" mode,
equivalent to the boiler being fed without presence of flame (LED 1 on).
Each time the burner ignites the flame present condition is displayed by
means of the green LED 2 ( ) being on.
