Remote Friend Control: the boiler is arranged for application of the Remote
Friend Control (CAR) which must be connected terminals 42 and 43 of
connector X2 on the electronic card respecting the polarity and eliminat-
ing jumper X40.
Ambient thermostat and timer: the boiler is arranged for application of
the Room Thermostat (S20) and timer (P1). If there is only one of these,
connect to terminals 40 - 41 eliminating jumper X40. Whereas, if there
are both, connect S20 to terminals 40 and 7 and P1 to terminals 8 and 41
after eliminating X40.
Connector X6 (RS 232) is used for the automatic test and for connection
to the personal computer.
Connector X5 is used for the possible electrical connection to the optional
relay card.
Troubleshooting.
N.B.: Maintenance must be performed by a qualified technician (e.g. Im-
mergas Technical Assistance Service).
- Smell of gas. Caused by leaks from gas circuit pipes. Check tightness of
gas supply circuit.
- The fan works but the ignition discharge does not occur on the burner
train. The fan starts but the fume pressure switch does not change the
contact.
Make sure:
1)
the intake-exhaust duct is not too long (over permissible length).
2)
the intake-exhaust duct is not partially blocked (on either the exhaust
or intake side).
3)
the fume shutter is adjusted according to the length of the intake/ex-
haust ducts.

UNIT
4)
the sealed chamber is perfectly tight.
5)
the fan power supply voltage is not less than 196 V.
- Irregular combustion (red or yellow flame). This may be caused by: dirty
burner, blocked lamellar pack, incorrect installation of the intake-exhaust
terminal. Clean the above components and ensure correct installation of
the terminal.
- Frequent activation of the overtemperature safety thermostat. This may be
caused by low water pressure in the boiler, insufficient water circulation
in the heating circuit, blocked circulating pump or by an anomaly in the
boiler control card. Check on the pressure gauge that system pressure is
within the fixed limits. Check that radiator valves are not all closed.
- Air in the system. Check opening of the special air valve cap (see fig.
page 107). Ensure that system pressure and expansion tank precharge
are within the fixed limits; the precharge value for the expansion tank
must be 1.0 bar, and system pressure between 1 and 1.2 bar
- Ignition block; see page 109.
