Converting the boiler to other types of gas.
When converting the boiler to a different type of gas to that specified on
the dataplate the relevant conversion kit must be requested, enabling quick
conversion.
Boiler gas conversion must be performed by a qualified technician (e.g.
Immergas Technical Assistance Service).
To convert to another type of gas:
- replace the main burner nozzles, making sure to insert the special sealing
rings (included in the kit) between the gas manifold and the nozzles;
- move jumper 15 (see fig.) to the correct position for type of gas required
(Methane or LPG); the operation must be carried out after switching off
the power to the appliance;
- adjust maximum boiler heat output;
- adjust minimum boiler heat output;
- adjust (if required) heating power;
- seal the gas flow control devices (if the settings are changed);
- after completing conversion, apply the sticker, present in the conversion
kit, near the dataplate. Using an indelible marker pen, cancel the data
relevant to the old type of gas.

Possible gas valve adjustments.
• Adjustment of boiler rated heat output (see previous fig.).
- Turn the domestic hot water temperature selector knob (13 page 108)
to the maximum setting;
- Open the domestic hot water cock to avoid modulation;
- adjust the boiler rated output on the brass nut (3), keeping to the max.
pressure values given in the tables on pages 118-119 according to the
type of gas;
- turn clockwise to increase heating power, and anticlockwise to de-
crease.
• Adjustment of boiler min. heat output (see previous fig.).
N.B.: Proceed only after setting the rated pressure.
Min. heat output is adjusted by means of the plastic screw with cross cut
(2) on the gas valve, keeping the brass nut (3) locked;
- disconnect the power supply to the modulating coil (just detach a
faston); turn the screw clockwise to increase pressure and anticlockwise
to decrease. On completion of adjustment, reconnect the power to the
modulating coil. Boiler min. heat output pressure must be not be less
than that given in the tables on pages 118-119 according to the type of
gas.
These adjustments must be made with reference to the type of gas used,
following that given in the tables on pages 118-119.
Checks following conversion to another type of gas.
After ensuring correct conversion with nozzles of diameter prescribed for
the type of gas used, and that the setting was made at the required pres-
sure, make sure:
- there is no flame return in the combustion chamber;
- the burner flame is not excessively high or low and is stable (does not
detach from burner);
- the pressure testers used for calibration are perfectly closed and there are
no leaks in the gas circuit.
N.B.: All boiler adjustment operations must be performed by a qualified
technician (e.g. Immergas Assistance Service). Burner adjustment must be
carried out using a differential "U" or digital type pressure gauge, connected
to the pressure point at the top of the sealed chamber (detail 10 page 107)
and the gas valve outlet pressure point (detail 4 page 113), complying with
the pressure value given in the tables on pages 118-119 for the type of gas
for which the boiler is arranged.

N.B.: To carry out adjustments on the gas valve, remove the plastic cap (6);
after adjusting refit the cap and screw.
Electronic card programming.
The Eolo Maior kW boiler is arranged for possible programming of several
operating parameters. By modifying these parameters as described below the
boiler can be adapted according to specific requirements.
To enter the programming phase, proceed as follows: turn the main switch
to Reset for 15 to 20 seconds, upon activation LED 1 (page 108) starts
flashing and remains flashing for the entire programming time. At this point,
turn the main switch to Domestic-Heating (
After activation of the programming phase the first level is entered, for
selecting the parameter to be set.
The latter is indicated by rapid flashing of one of the LEDs between 2 and
11, at the same time as LED 1.
Selection is made by turning the domestic hot water temperature knob (13).
