Assembly
NOTE
Prior to assembly, certain components
require lubrication. Refer to Table 2 for
details.
Pump tube
Body
1 Clamp body (11) in a soft-jaw vise.
2 Install and seat packing group (10) into
body (11). See Fig. 3, page 10 for proper
sequence and orientation. Use care
passing threads of body.
3 Install o-ring (8) onto bushing (9).
4 Screw bushing (9) into body (11) loosely.
5 Screw air motor (1) into body. Do not
tighten at this time.
6 Allow hole in bushing (9) to completely
show through hole in air motor (1).
7 Install gasket (12) into body (11).
NOTE
Bushing will require adjustment.
Refer to section entitled Bushing
adjustment, page 11, for details.

Rod
8 Install washer (16) and plunger (17) onto
bottom of rod (7). Orient plunger
properly.
9 Install nut (18) onto rod (7).
10 Tighten nut to 30 in-lbf (3.4 Nm).
11 Screw rod (7) into piston of air motor.
12 Align cotter pin holes.
13 Install cotter pin (6) that secures piston
to rod.
Base valve and cylinder
14 Install o-ring (20), washer (16) and
stud (19) onto base valve (21).
15 Install nut (18) onto stud.
Tighten securely.
16 Screw base valve into cylinder (15).
Do not tighten at this time.
17 Screw jam nut (13) onto cylinder as
required.
18 Install cylinder, with attached
components, onto plunger. Use care not
to damage lip of plunger.
Connect pump tube
to air motor
19 Screw cylinder (15) into body (11).
Verify gasket is seated properly.
20 Tighten base valve (21) into cylinder and
cylinder into body at the same time.
Crush gasket (12).
21 Tighten jam nut (13) that secures
cylinder to body (11).

22 Install bung adapter (14) onto cylinder.
